This pattern uses worsted-weight yarn and a size H crochet hook. Size of the afghan is 54"W x 52"L.
A graph and written instructions are both included for you to use whichever you prefer. I always prefer the graph and I draw a line with a pencil through the rows of blocks as I complete them so I can easily find my place in the pattern. You can erase the pencil line through the blocks after so you can re-use the graph at another time. Or make copies of the graph.
